I was wondering why it is that only male wolves can claim land and females have to be claimed. Not only does it hardly seem fair, but it's downright unrealistic. In real life, not only can females claim territories of their own, but it has been known to happen where the female is the dominant member of a pack. Not only that but, unlike with a horse society, it's possible for there to be more than one male in a pack; it's quite common, actually. The females are actually more agressive in their hierarchial system than the males are.
